Rev. Elaine M. Egidio, MCAT, LPC, BC-DMT, is a Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist, NJ Mental Health Counselor, Shamanic Practitioner and Educator and the Director of Dancing Winds Therapy in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. She is a Foundation for Shamanic Studies Faculty Instructor teaching weekend advanced programs and assisting at the FSS advanced 3 yr. and 2 week advance programs.

She completed Tom Cowan's 2 year program of Celtic Visionary and Healing Arts program. She is a minister in the Circle of the Sacred Earth, a church of animism dedicated to shamanic principles and practices. Elaine is a Weather/Cloud Dancer and teaches Weather Shamanism Level one. She is a founding Member of the Society for Shamanic Practitioners, Past Vice President of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Dance TherapyAssociation.

Elaine is has been a regular columnist writing on the practice of Shamanism in the quarterly NJ Holistic Magazine.

Elaine earned her BA in Dance from Glassboro College (now Rowan University), her Master's in Creative Arts Therapy Dance/Movement from Hahnemann University, and studied post-grad at the Dance Therapy Institution ofPrinceton

Elaine has worked in various psychiatric and addiction settings in the past 20 years including inpatient and outpatient. She co-founded a Woman's trauma track at Princeton House affiliated with the Medical Center of Princeton. She provided addiction treatment to DYFS mandated Moms, provided Mental Health therapy at a community counseling center, Dance Therapy at a day camp specializing in children with ADD/ADHD and Aspersers. She spent 6 years working as a Mental Health Counselor in private schools. Elaine taught dance classes in VA, Rota, Spain and NJ teaching children and adults. She also founded a performing dance company in Rota, Spain comprising of military and dependents

Elaine currently maintains a private practice Dancing Winds Therapy where she intertwines Dance Therapy and counseling. She also practices Shamanic Healing. Elaine provides treatment to children and adults. Some insurance accepted for counseling.

Her healing space is The Tansey House where she facilitates monthly drumming circles, healing dance circles, shamanic and dance therapy trainings and other spiritual community building events. Elaine has hosted various esteemed Shamanic educators Tom Cowan, Nan Moss and David Corbin, and Myron Eshowsky.
