Rev. Elaine M. Egidio, MCAT, ADTR, LPC is a licensed Counselor, Dance Therapist, Shamanic Practitioner and the Director of
Dancing Winds Therapy in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. She is also a minister in the
Circle of the Sacred Earth, a church of animism dedicated to shamanic principles and practices. Elaine earned her BA in Dance from Glassboro College (now
Rowan University), her Master's in Creative Arts Therapy Dance/Movement from
Hahnemann University, and studied post-grad at the Dance Therapy Institution of Princeton. She graduated from the
Foundation for Shamanic Studies' three-year program in Advanced Healing. She also graduated from Tom Cowan's three-year
Celtic Healing and Visionary Arts Program, studied the Soul Retrieval process with
Sandra Ingerman, and is a student of Sandra Ingerman's two-year teacher training program. Elaine is a certified instructor for the
Medicine for the Earth Gathering: techniques for healing personal and environmental toxins. She has been performing Soul Retrievals and Shamanic Healing work for over fifteen years.
Elaine has presented widely on Dance Therapy with many different populations, intertwining Dance Therapy and Shamanism, as well as teaching Shamanic Healing Techniques. She runs monthly Shamanic Journey Circles in Monmouth and Mercer counties.
