Shamanic Divination in Practice (Online)Saturday | 01:00 PM - 04:00 PM (11/07/2020) , Duration: 06:00 Categories: FSS Online Workshops
This is a 2 day workshop:
July 11, 2020 | Saturday | 1:00pm - 4:00pm
July 12, 2020 | Sunday | 1:00pm- 4:00pm
The skilled practice of shamanic divination, the process of consulting the spirits for knowledge, is an essential aspect of shamanic healing and of bringing the wisdom of the helping spirits to bear on personal, local, and global issues. This workshop offers students opportunities to practice methods for contacting their compassionate spirit helpers, particularly through the shamanic journey, and to enhance their abilities to form on-topic questions and interpret the messages received. Participants will also experience classic shamanic ways to build and nurture strong relationships with their own spirits.
This experiential online training taught by FSS faculty members is offered via Zoom video conferencing, which is free to individual users. Participants will see and hear each other and interact in pairs and small groups, as well as in the full circle. All students must participate with audio and video. Instructions for Zoom and workshop access will be provided by the instructor after registration. The course consists of six hours of training. Faculty members may teach the workshop in two three-hour sessions or in a one-day version.
PREREQUISITE: The Shamanic Journey: Pathway to Knowledge & Power (online) or the in-person Basic Workshop, The Way of the Shaman.
6 FSS Continuing Education (CE) Credits available. Completion of the entire workshop (6 hours) is required for credit.
At this time FSS online workshops will focus on content that offers powerful and effective methods to gain and apply wisdom from the spirits to resolve persistent problems facing humanity, our precious Earth, and its inhabitants. Now online: Shamanism for Inspired Local and Global Change.
FOR THE MEETING. Please have handy a notebook/pen for notes, a rattle, a drum (optional), and an eye covering (bandana or Mindfold) to block ambient light. Also have available a palm-sized rock (NOT a crystal), preferably one you found in nature. (Remember where you found the rock, so you may return it to its home after the training.) Before the workshop, consider a comfortable chair or place to sit or lie down for journeys. Many Zoom users find that headphones or ear buds provide an enhanced listening experience. Download Zoom participant instructions and audio/video settings.
Electronic recording of audio, video, and images is not permitted during the workshop.
